She has been an active member of the DC Chapter of Women In Film & Video (WIFV) since 1991, has served as WIFV publicity chair and board president, and currently sits on the WIFV advisory board. In 2002-2003, she served on the board of Fashion Group International's DC chapter as publicity chair. She now volunteers her time for the 2020 One Woman, One Vote Festival, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. She is also serving on the host committee for the 2019 Emerging Scholars 007th Annual Gala.
